This company had invested over £5 million and created a stable of publications, including SHAPE and Men’s Heath. These magazines were among the leading titles in their respective sectors, but despite this the titles were loss making. The business had run into difficulty and was losing £60,000 per month. We were appointed to manage the company through to profitability and an eventual sale.
We traded the company for a period of four months and returned the business to profitability. The titles were sold to Dennis Publishing plc (current publishers of Loaded and other publications) , thereby preserving jobs and the continued trading of the titles
